Our Growing Organization

Each year, A More Perfect Union invites women interested in volunteering the opportunity to participate in our organization. What we ask of potential volunteers is simple: Come willing to commit with an open heart and an open mind. This August, we were pleased to have seventeen new volunteers join us in the work we do through The Circle of Women program.

Our new volunteers, who come from many parts of the city and metropolitan area. found out about us through the online communities we use to rercruit women: volunteermatch.com, craigslist.org and idealist.org (We also welcome personal referrals from our volunteers). Nearly twenty women arrived for a three-hour orientation presented by existing volunteers on July 14, 2007. They learned our mission, our standards, and then experienced a mini-version of what our The Circle of Women program presents to our client communities. At the end of the evening the women were invited back to a training session for the technical aspects of our work. Seventeen women attended the three-hour training session and all are currently working with the women we serve at the therapeutic facilities.

If you are interested in developing your relationship skills, achieving your dreams, and helping women in and beyond your community, come join us.
