Volunteer's Circle ...profiles Donna Gentry and Shera Haliczer by Kim Roginski, volunteer since 2005
This year we welcomed two dynamic additions to our Board of Directors: Donna Gentry and Shera Haliczer.

Donna Gentry and Shera Haliczer
Donna Gentry, a former legal administrator, has worked at some of the most prominent law firms in New York City over the past 20 years. She recently left her position as Director of Operations for a Canadian-based law firm to become a full-time training consultant. Donna credits A More Perfect Union volunteers, her business partner Natalie Loeb's daring vision, and her husband, Gerry, for giving her the support she needed to make this change. "Because of this organization, my heart is fuller and my dreams are becoming a reality," she says.
Already an energetic, motivated women, Shera Haliczer brings her professional experience in human resources management and a life-long volunteer spirit to bear on her work in the organization. She feels that the support of A More Perfect Union has helped her stretch even further. "I'm sticking my neck out there, taking chances and learning a lot about myself in the process," says the native of Tampa, Florida.
Both Donna and Shera participated on the Spring Benefit and Slient Auction committee and, through their fearless asking and fresh ideas, were instrumental in A More Perfect Union achieving its fundraising goals. In addition, they committed to bringing their positive energy to support the residents we serve at Odyssey House and Phoenix House in The Circle of Women series.
